What to watch on TV tonight: Sunday

Here’s what’ll be on your Twitter timeline this evening.

Every lunchtime, DailyEdge.ie rounds up the TV shows that you’ll be tweeting about tonight and talking about tomorrow.

Top Gear (BBC Two, 8pm)

Chris Evans is set to take over as Top Gear host this year, but the BBC couldn’t leave Jeremy Clarkson et al go without giving them a proper send-off. Tonight’s special is the last ever episode to feature the beloved trio. Expect men all over the world to “get something in their eye”. #TopGear

Glastonbury 2015 (BBC Two, 10.40pm)

The festival concludes tonight with a headline performance from The Who as they celebrate their 50th anniversary. Festival coverage will also include performances from FFS and Paul Weller. #BBCGlasto

David Attenborough Meets President Obama (BBC One, 10.30pm)

First, his interview on WTF with Marc Maron. Now a sit down interview with the legendary David Attenborough. We’re truly spoiled for choice when it comes to interviews with President Obama. The pair will discuss climate change, the environment and more.

Everyone’s talking about… The return of Jeremy Clarkson

The Mirror is reporting that Clarkson will go head to head with Chris Evans when his new show airs on ITV.

TV bosses are reportedly planning on airing Clarkson’s new show against Top Gear on Sundays at 8pm.

The boys believe with the backing of ITV and a prime-time slot they can easily match, and probably beat, their BBC2 viewing figures. The thought of making a show for the BBC’s main rival is very appealing for them.

The newspaper also reports that Clarkson has invited producer Oisin Tymon to work on the new show.

Hmm. (The Mirror)
